Conference: Geertekerk

Geertekerk Utrecht
By Johannes Bosboom, 1852. Collection Rijksmuseum Amsterdam.
The Geertekerk is named after Gertrudis van Nijvel, patroness of travellers. The building's 750 year history has been eventful: it was the first church to be hit by the Beeldenstorm (Iconoclastic Fury) in 1566, it holds a 17th century mass grave with victims of a plague outbreak and it acted as a refugee shelter for people affected by a dike breach in 1855.
Cinema: Café-Restaurant Lofen
You'll find Café-Restaurant Lofen conveniently located at the foot of the Dom tower — Utrecht's main landmark. This is close to workshop location Huize Molenaar (see above).
