Putting digital car interfaces to the test
21 March 2017 – Rotterdam
Innovation and digitalization in products and services offer a vast amount of opportunities and flexibility. Simultaneously, a critical and down to earth perspective is required when designing and engineering for the masses.
This also applies to the automotive industry. Which is why UNITiD started carui.info as a platform to put car interfaces to the test from a user perspective. Last year, they collaborated with Autoweek to test the Human Machine Interface (HMI) of eight mid-range cars. At this Design by Fire, Hylke will explain all about their research on car UI.
Hylke van Maaren is Design Director and partner at UNITiD, a digital design agency with offices in Amsterdam and Rotterdam. UNITiD designs digital products, services and interfaces for everything that has a screen and requires user interaction. His career began as a web designer at the DSB bank in 2005, after which he has worked for companies like Clockwork, Mirabeau and Philips Design before joining UNITiD in 2012.
